Dear Blog Friends,

Jo (Curlyscrapbooker) and I have been chatting recently, about Blog Friends; also about the great Shimelle class we did last November (2/11/2009), "Blogging For Scrapbookers".   

It was through this course that I actually started my blog.  I'd been thinking about it for some time, but hadn't had the courage - or knowledge - to get started.  BFS came along at the ideal moment for me and I signed up with enthusiasm.  I really enjoyed the course and it was so useful in getting my blog well and truly "up and running". 

To anyone visiting  who didn't take this course and is thinking about it - I would really recommend it, even if you have a blog, for anyone who thinks they could do more with their blog, would enjoy learning more blogging techniques and joining in with a group of other Scrappers while you learn.  And if you've never heard of Shimelle (she is a person, honest!), or you have never taken one of her courses, Now is the Time to Find out - follow the link above to her blog and have a bit of a read!

So, anyways.... waffle, waffle...  Me and Jo decided that, since it's been a whole Year since we did BFS and also since we've been talking about Blog Friends and how we made so many nice new shiny friends through the BFS Course Forum, we really, really should Throw A Party! 

Hence the Invitation at the Top of this Post!

So, You (that's all BFS folks and All Other Bloggers who'd like to join in) are

Invited to Our "Celebrating Blog Friendship" Party,

on Saturday 6th November - the first Saturday after the BFS anniversary! 

Festivities begin at 8pm GMT (time zone converter here - thanks for the handy hint Amy!)

The Party will take the form of a Blog Hop, since these are always popular and fun. We thought we'd make it a good old traditional party - you know, cake, candles, bunting and decorations.  And of course, games! Or at least a "Pass the Parcel" game.  

Perhaps you can think of a Party Game for our guests to join in with, or an activity to involve them in?  Maybe you have a challenge for a scrap page, a story to tell, instructions for something to make - anything that will get us all in the Party Spirit and help us to have fun! 

If you would like to be part of the Blog Hop, please let me or Jo know, by Friday 29th October, so we can include you on the list of Blogs and also give you your instructions for the "Pass the Parcel" part of the party! 

Jo and I will have Prizes to give out, with a prize draw at our own blogs, at start and finish of the Party;  there will also be a Very Special Secret Prize, which Jo will tell us all about on November 6th (and not before, so don't ask!).
