Pass The Page Blog Hop

Hello all Blog Friends,

The fabulous Julie, of Letting The Days Roll By (who I was lucky enough to meet at our Bloggers' Crafting Weekend last November!), came up with a really clever idea for a blog hop,  waaaaay back in September, to celebrate her up-coming birthday.  She thought it would be fun to have a game of "Pass the Page", so asked for people to sign up and join in.

Three months later, here we are, at the end of our list...  Everyone has had their starting-point picture (the previous person's page) and has created their own scrap page, using the photo as inspiration.  It seems ages since I did mine....
Here's a full list of people who are participating (Helen of Beacon Crafts doesn't have a blog yet, so she is a Guest on my post today!) :

Helen at Beacon Crafts in Sedgley
Lizzie: lizziemade (you're here now!)
Jemma: Just-Jimjams
Lisa-Jane: Inside My Head
Deb Clark: Debisjoy
If you get lost - or if you've come in at my blog and want to follow from the beginning - go back to Julie's blog, or use the list above to find your place.

I have heard rumours of a prize draw, for those who have managed to complete the whole "Hop", leaving a comment at each page, so it's worth doing the thing properly!

If you are following the Blog Hop, you should have arrived here from Lea's blog

Helen's Page
I loved the bright colours on Lea's page, it was quite a busy design - not my style at all but none the less I liked it!
I loved the flowers and bunting on Lea's so I decided to go with that.
I used one of my favourite photos which I had been meaning to scrap for ages !
I've loved taking part in pass the page and I can't wait to see all the finished results!

Lizzie's Page (that's me!)
The photo is my baby great niece, who was 7 months old.

I made myself a "Scrapping Kit" from various papers and cardstock, which went with two die-cut circles that I had. Then I found this photo in my recent set from Photobox.
It just seemed to go well with the die cut and papers - and I already had the 2 crochet flowers, so I made this!
I am so pleased with it - it was very hard not to publish it on my blog for months!! I had to send a photo to my niece, with strict instructions to not publish it anywhere.
The Materials:
Brown Cardstock - Do-Crafts, Die-Cut Circle "Truffles & Trees" - MLS, card for photo mat & patterned paper - K & Co., lettering - Sassafrass and Jenni Bowlin.
Concertina flower and crochet flowers - home-made, vintage buttons from my collection.

Thanks for visiting to see Helen's and My pages.  Your next stop is Sian, who makes such fabulous pages - I'm sure you are in for a treat and can't wait to see what she did with her photo of my page!

  1. Ooh I love it Lizzie, I am reading via a blog reader so I've already seen Sian's! (Doh!) It's very interesting to see the opposite way around though. I need to go back to the beginning I think!!! :)

  2. Like Rachel above I'm not following in order! But anyway love your page - I have of few large die pages like that and am never sure how to use them!

  3. Both your own and Helen's pages are great...and your great niece is such a cutie!I love seeing how these pages are changing with each new scrapper
    Alison xx

  4. Aha! I've been wondering where that circle and the one photo came in. Clever! It certainly has been hard to keep it a secret, but I have enjoyed it so much I hope we do it again soon.

  5. Wow, look how far we've come from Julie's design. Love how Helen incorporated the circle and that ferret picture is so cute. And Lizzie your layout is cute as a button! Love the way you did the title, and the scattered buttons!

  6. Very pretty layout! I love the crochet flowers!

  7. I love both of these - what cute photos and gorgeous colours

  8. Both layouts are fab! Cute photo in the first one :) I love the scalloped circles on yours - just lovely x

  9. Love how Helen has all the embellishments drawing out the pattern on the paper, it all pulls together so well.

Wow, Lizzie, yours is so so so different to Julies!!! Love the shapes & how the crochet flower goes so well with the one on your nieces head. She certainly is as cute as a button

  10. Ah, here's the one photo beginning! Both of these are fascinating to compare so close together: circle/curved theme, one photo, horizontal ribbon strip ... Love the bunting and the crochet flowers. :)

  11. What a change from the previous page!!! Nice work ladies! I am off to check out the rest of the hop :)

  12. I love that we all take different elements as our inspiration! I love the flowers and the bunting in Helen's and the pretty diecut papers and buttons in Lizzie's. I also think that your great niece is so cute especially with the head band - love that you added some to your page too!

  13. Blogger seems to be playing up and not saving my comments. Hoping it works this time!
Lovely pages by you and Helen and very much your own take which is always a good thing.

  14. Good grief, I can't believe how much it has changed already! What lovely pages. I love the use of the crocheted flowers that match the cute photo so well.

  15. Weird - we're now down to one photo thanks to Helen, but I can totally see how her page relates to Lea's - brilliant scraplift of the bunting and the colours.

Lizzie in turn ahd produced a super one photo & circle page covered in gorgeous embellishments. stunning!

I wonder what will change next as there wasn't a cicrle in sight on mine or Ginger's!

  16. How cute is that page! This pass the page looks like such fun.

  17. Ooh great takes for both of these pages ... I'm really liking how the pages are morphing!

  18. Love both of these pages...adorable bebe & little ferret too!
This has been a lovely experience & lovely hopping along with you.

  19. OK! Now it makes sense - here is where we see a big turn! Helen really switched it up, love how this is turning out!

  20. I'm really interested to see how the pages progress as they move from scrapper to scrapper! I love how everyone has a different idea of where to start and what to take away. These are both really lovely with the pretty colour schemes and the die cut shapes.

  21. Beautiful stuff Lizzie, what a great idea

  22. This is so fascinating to follow! Two more great pages, both so different, but with similar elements. Good work ladies. I actually saw Sian's page first without realising there was a hop, so back there for a closer look next!

  23. I am another that is reading thru a blog reader so am seeing many out of order, once I have caught up on all my blogs I will definitely do this hop in order. It's interesting to see the different design elements people focus on :)

  24. I'm glad I ended up doing the hop so late myself (well I did know what was coming LOL!), because I really wanted to hear people's reactions at how much changed by the time we got here.
I love Helen's photo and the way she framed it.
Lizzie's great niece is so cute and great choice of embellishments.
Thanks for joining in and yes, must do it again sometime.

  25. I am really enjoying this blog hop and watching all the changes! The Ferret snap on Helen's page is wonderful ... is he a pet??? Of course the ferret isn't as cute as your great neice...... a beautiful circular design really lovely xxx

  26. Goodness! So different again - I can't believe the first LO lef to these two LOL! And they are all gorgeous.

I love to read your comments!
